Four modes, one keyboard

ABC

English and Dutch, together

One dictionary covering both languages, so “Ik heb tomorrow een meeting” types clean — no language switching, and no fighting an autocorrect that only knows one of your languages. Accents (é è ë ï ö ü ij) sit under long-press on the base layer.

MD

Markdown

Tab, a ☐ task-list key, headers, bullets, quotes, inline code and fenced blocks, bold/italic/strikethrough, and a link key that drops the cursor inside the brackets. Return continues the list you're already in.

PY

Python

Colon, underscore, brackets and braces, comparison and assignment operators under one key, f-strings and triple quotes under long-press. Autocorrect off — autocorrect in code is rage.

JS

JavaScript

Braces, parens, arrow functions, template literals with ${} under long-press, strict equality under a hold. Autocorrect off here too.

Built for typing, not demoing

  • Persistent number row — no layer switch to type a digit
  • Every key has a corner symbol: swipe down to type it, long-press for the rest
  • Long-press callouts with slide-to-select
  • Backspace repeats when held; double-tap shift for caps lock
  • Slide across the space bar to move the cursor
  • Double-space types a period — in prose modes only
  • Suggestion bar with typo correction; words you type twice are remembered
  • Symbols layer on the letter keys for everything else

No Full Access. Ever.

iOS keyboards can only reach the network if you grant them the separate “Allow Full Access” permission. DevKeys never asks for it — which means iOS itself prevents the keyboard from sending your keystrokes, or anything else, anywhere.

The ~350,000-word dictionary ships inside the app. Suggestions are computed on your device. Words you teach it stay on your device. There is no network code, no analytics, and no account.
