Common questions
How do I switch between ABC, Markdown, Python and JavaScript?
Tap the mode key in the bottom row, between the #+= key and
the globe key. It cycles through the modes and shows the current one.
Where are the extra symbols?
Every key shows a small symbol in its corner. Swipe down on the key to type it, or long-press to open the callout and slide to pick from the full set — accented characters, operators and variants live there.
Why does it never ask for Full Access?
Because it doesn't need it, and asking would mean it could reach the network. The dictionary is bundled in the app and suggestions are computed on your device. See the privacy policy for the details.
A word I use isn't recognised.
Type it twice and the keyboard remembers it. Learned words are stored on your device only, and are removed if you delete the app.
Autocorrect is interfering while I write code.
It shouldn't — suggestions and auto-capitalisation are switched off in the Python and JavaScript modes. If you're seeing corrections there, you're probably still in ABC or Markdown mode; check the mode key.
The keyboard disappeared or reverted mid-typing.
iOS restarts keyboard extensions that run short of memory. If you can reproduce it, please get in touch and say which app you were typing in.
